iFanboy

iFanboy is one of the larger projects we’ve worked on. Their site had been around for several years and had an absolute ton of data. Posts, comments, podcasts, reviews, on and on and on. We started by converting all their data to WordPress and then got to work on a brand new site design. With that much content, putting a home page together to showcase it all was priority #1. The project also included a number of custom plugins for importing data from 3rd party sites and custom widgets to highlight content.

VegasTech

The VegasTech site is a community project. We donated our time to build a site that would list community members and their projects along with being a central location for news and events. We worked with Mark Johnson, a local designer, to put together a clean and simple site to highlight all the amazing things going on here in the #VegasTech scene.

Travel To Eat

When you take a look at Travel To Eat, you may notice that on the surface it looks an awful lot like an off-the-shelf StudioPress theme. You would be correct. However, if you stopped looking there, you’d miss the magic.

Kurt is a world traveler and a dedicated blogger. He wanted a site that would let him easily categorize his posts and he wanted those category pages to each feel like it’s own mini-site. You could land on any category and feel that you’re viewing a site entirely on the one subject. We built a series of custom templates to give him exactly what he was looking for. Word has it, he couldn’t be happier!

Work In Progress

Not only is the new coworking facility called Work In Progress, but their site will probably fit in that category for a while as well. The first phase of the project was to design and build their front end site. They are now looking to use BuddyPress to manage their members across a growing number of locations. They are pushing and pulling WordPress in new and interesting ways and we are excited to see where we can take it.

Ignite Vegas

I’m happy to be on the team that helps organize the Ignite Vegas events. When it came to building the website, I wanted to build a theme that would grow with us over time. I put together the site design and then used a series of categories, tags and archive templates to let the visitors get to any subset of information they were looking for. As new events take place, we simply upload the videos to youtube and add a new post to the site with the proper tags and categories and the content fills the site and the navigation grows on it’s own.

We like to build sites that are super easy to maintain. Even when we’ll be the ones running the site.
