Affiliate plugin for WP-ecommerce

Since Shayne has spent so much time helping people out in the WP e-Commerce user’s forum, it’s no surprise that we receive a steady stream of requests for people looking to enhance their online store. One of the requests we get the most is from people who would like to pay affiliates to drive traffic to their site. With no real solution available, we did what any enthusiastic development team would do; we built it!

Introducing the Affiliate Plugin for WP e-Commerce

The Affiliate Plugin makes it simple to sign up and manage affiliates for your online store. You can easily set the payout amount (flat rate or % of sale) per affiliate, add custom banners and text links with unique tracking codes, view stats and more.

Next stop, WordCamp Boulder

I'm Sponsoring WordCamp Boulder 2010Last year I had the great pleasure of attending WordCamp Denver and am very excited to be heading back to Colorado for round two! But this time, WordCamp has moved up the road to Boulder, CO. This year I won’t just be attending, but we are also one of the sponsors of the event!

Last year the guys at Crowd Favorite put together a great collection of speakers, and this year is no different. Have a look at the list of speakers, and then go register to attend! There are less than 100 tickets left, so get on it!

I also wanted to send a big ‘ol THANKS to the guys at Crowd Favorite for moving the event from February to July. As beautiful as it was to see everything covered in snow, I’m sure the place will be just as beautiful without the snow.

Where exactly has this month gone? I looked up and realized that in just over a week, I’ll be hopping a plane to attend WordCamp Chicago! I’m really excited! The last time I was in Chicago was December of last year for a different conference and on the day I left it was a whopping 4 degrees outside. The 10 day forecast says that it’ll be partly cloudy with a high of 75! Heck Yeah!

Moderate weather aside, WordCamp Chicago looks like it’s going to be a great one. They have an outstanding list of speakers lined up! I see that there are less than 100 tickets left, so you should go and register now!

From what I hear the WordPress community in Chicago is top notch. I’m looking forward to meeting a ton of new people and saying hello to some old friends! If you see me walking around, definitely come and say hello! You can also hit me up for a sticker or two.

9seeds at WordCamp Orange County

It’s no secret, we are big fans of WordCamp events. We are even bigger fans of the people that pour their heart in to making the events happen. When we found out Brandon Dove was putting together WordCamp Orange County, we knew we wanted to be a part of it any way we could. So it was a no-brainer for us to sponsor the event.

We are also thrilled to have the opportunity to help out as presenters. John Hawkins will be giving a presentation on beginning plugin development. If you are interested in writing your own plugins but aren’t sure exactly where to start, be sure to catch John’s presentation on Saturday.

We’ve heard that there may be an informal Genius Bar where attendees can get some one-on-one assistance with their WordPress site. John and Todd will both be hanging around all day Saturday and will be happy to answer questions. We’ll also have a bunch of 9seeds stickers, so track us down and ask for one.

We know first hand how much work goes in to putting on a WordCamp. Congratulations to Brandon and his team. We’re excited to be part of what is going to be a great event!
