Joshua – Using a Logo Image

Here are the steps to use your custom logo image with the theme.
First set the logo to show by performing the following:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard go to Genesis –> Theme Settings
  2. Under “Header Settings” choose “Image Logo” from the drop down.
  3. Click the teal “Save Settings” button to save your settings.

Next you need to upload your logo images to your theme file. To make the theme fully mobile responsive it uses two logo images depending on what size screen it is being displayed on. Both logo sizes must be .png image files.

The full sized logo.png file should be sized to:

  • Width = 311 pixels
  • Height = 30 pixels

The mobile sized logo-mobile.png file should be sized to:

  • Width = 208 pixels
  • Height = 20 pixels

With your FTP software, or your web host’s cPanel, upload both of your custom logo image files to the /joshua/images/ folder. So you will end up replacing these two images:

  • /joshua/images/logo.png
  • /joshua/images/logo-mobile.png

If you are using one of the alternate color schemes then you will need to upload your logo image to the appropriate color scheme image folder:

  • /joshua/images/joshua-blue-gold/logo.png
  • /joshua/images/joshua-blue-gold/logo-mobile.png
  • /joshua/images/joshua-green/logo.png
  • /joshua/images/joshua-green/logo-mobile.png
  • /joshua/images/joshua-maroon/logo.png
  • /joshua/images/joshua-maroon/logo-mobile.png
